The Women Who Inspire Me Most Aren’t Waiting for Permission

Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with women from all walks of life — corporate leaders, stay-at-home moms, entrepreneurs, nonprofit directors, creatives, and everything in between.

The women who inspire me most have one thing in common.

They stopped waiting.

Not recklessly.
Not impulsively.

But intentionally.

They stopped waiting for:

  • The perfect time.

  • The perfect clarity.

  • The perfect level of confidence.

  • Someone else to validate their calling.

Instead, they chose to move forward imperfectly.

They chose to say yes to growth.

They chose to invest in themselves.

They chose to build community instead of isolating.

They chose faith over fear — again and again.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Confidence rarely comes before action.
It grows because of it.

You don’t suddenly wake up fearless.
You build courage by taking aligned steps.

The world tells women to either:
Play small and be safe,
or
Hustle hard and prove yourself.

But there is another way.

You can lead boldly and live gently.
You can pursue income and stay rooted in faith.
You can build something meaningful without sacrificing what matters most.

That’s the kind of leadership I believe in.

Not ego-driven.
Not comparison-driven.
Not fear-driven.

But purpose-driven.

If you feel called to something more — more flexibility, more alignment, more impact — I hope you know this:

You don’t need permission.

You need clarity.
You need support.
And you need the courage to trust that the desire stirring in you isn’t random.

It’s an invitation.
